Mike is happiest when he is right in the middle of leading a team of co-workers and clients in a QuickStorm™ ideation session.
“I love seeing the light in the team’s eyes when they are discovering something new about our clients,” Mike says. “At the same time, I love it when our clients get the space and perspective to learn something new about themselves, too, I just rub my hands together in anticipation of some exciting marketing and business success ahead.”
A 6-year veteran of the U.S. Army, Mike understands the discipline required to turn all that energy into a tangible strategy that helps lead clients to success. His marketing plans provide a blueprint to good client-agency partnership.
Mike earned a B.A. in Entrepreneurship and Economics from Babson College in Wellesley, MA. He spent two years helping lead ideation sessions at the acclaimed Eureka! Ranch, creating ideas for Disney, Pepsi, Frito Lay, Capital One among other clients.
After his military service in Kuwait, Mike served as Director of Business Development for the Honeybaked Ham Company and Global Brand Manager of Zimmer Surgical, providing him ample experience that brings FSM valuable client-side perspective.
“I’m a guide, coach and catalyst – in that order,” he says.
Another role he plays is family man – cherishing time with his wife Shaye and their children Ben and Addison.
It is no surprise that our lead strategist loves board games and will spend entire weekends with friends playing them. At any given time during an FSM meeting, Mike will add a jolt by instigating a game of Pictionary to jumpstart our juices.
He’s not the type of guy who can turn off the passion and it is evident even in his civic involvement. He’s commonly a speaker at community and business development events. He has even given a “marketing and banking” talk to his son’s kindergarten class. He loves fishing, working out and once ran the Boston Marathon.
