What makes FSM’s Story Team different from the average content team?
The reason we’re called the Story Team is because we really focus on extracting each client’s unique story and using that to align everything we do, from website copy to social media posts. It’s a different way of looking at things, and it really allows us to imbue more of our clients’ personalities into the content we create.
You’ve been at FSM for a long time—what are some of the highlights for you from over the years?
That’s a tough one because there have been so many! Generally I just love cultivating long-term relationships with clients and getting to know them more over the span of years. I completed much of the portfolio for NMG Aerospace, which was fun because I got to learn so much technical information about the aerospace industry. A lot of the nonprofits and schools like Barberton City School District also stand out because they’re so rewarding to work with and we get to help them in a very direct way.
What motivates you?
I’m driven by constantly learning, which has lent itself well to researching, finding errors, and being able to go the extra mile to explore territory that’s not always obvious. I love to be that source of knowledge and expertise for our clients.
Who was the first writer who made you want to be a writer?
Shel Silverstein! I’ve always loved Where the Sidewalk Ends. I got it as a gift in third grade and would read the poems often. And when you read his work as an adult, it takes on such a new meaning.
