What drew you to project management?
I initially wanted to go into nutrition, but I ended up working as an office manager and found that I really loved being able to create processes that make work easier for everyone. That’s easily my favorite part of the job.
Do you have any favorite types of projects?
I like them all! I really enjoy overseeing all kinds of creative projects. My brain is more analytical, so to see the brilliance of our creative team is really fun, and I like that I can bring in my analytical approach and add a lot of value to our processes.
What’s something people often misunderstand about project management?
A lot of people think process kills creativity, but good process should actually protect it and let it flourish. The less our creative team has to worry about the logistics of a project, the more they can focus on the work.
What’s your spirit core value?
I think Bold & Honest. I love that everyone at FSM wants to hear new ideas, and nothing is turned down because it’s too difficult. To be in that kind of encouraging work environment has certainly helped me be more bold and honest, and I feel empowered to bring up my ideas.
